mansi and sunny’s wedding celebration was so very beautiful! three days of shooting yielded so many images, i had a difficult time narrowing them down. laughter, joy and dancing. the colors of the traditional indian fashions were simply stunning; all a photographer’s dream! such and amazing experience!

it got messy.

the wedding celebration sunday began with the preparations.

and sunny’s preparations and baraat.

the ceremony begins

all the young people were hamming it up for the camera during the family portraits

we had a few moments after the ceremony to steal away and capture a few photographs of mansi and sunny together

we ventured up on the top of the parking deck for a quick view of the chicago skyline in the far distance.

loved mansi and sunny’s reception. so much dancing and laughter!

i met jenny and seth at brittany and matt’s wedding i shot in madison and i remember thinking to myself, ‘i hope i’ll be lucky enough to photograph their wedding when they get engaged.’ you know what? they got engaged!

such a fun shoot. they were making me laugh so much with their jokes and silly sense of humor i could barely take photos as i struggled to catch my breath.

beautiful wedding films

i am asked by almost every wedding photography client who comes through my door to recommend a wedding videographer and every time i think to myself, ‘you don’t want a “videographer”. you want a cinematographer.’ what’s the difference? plenty! when i hear the word videographer, i think ‘tired, uninspired, lazy, just there for the pay check.’ a true cinematographer on the other hand takes the time to produce oscar quality work; something you can’t get anywhere else. many cinematographers, at least those who are worth their weight in gold, scout locations, storyboard shots, seeing the shots no one else would take the time to see and produce wedding films that capture the beauty, the energy and the emotions of a wedding day. in saying that, i’ve created this post as a one stop view of the cinematographers i would want to create a film of my wedding day. my personal favorite is americana cinema.
