niki de saint phalle broke the barriers of sculptors. she experimented with different mediums to bring about beautiful pieces that express so many different things. a few years ago, the city of chicago’s department of cultural affairs had a niki in the garden exhibit at the garfield park conservatory and commissioned me to photograph the sculptures for a book.
